Support the Nationwide effort of the 'GRANT MAKERS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES'.
Being a not for profit making Organisation, all activities and programmes depend on funding and support from Philanthropic Partners such as yourself, Private Sector, Faith Based Organisations and others towards:

  • Sustaining the momentum in creating, expounding and raising awareness about salient issues affecting families.
  • Coordinating and establishing and sustaining the Family Resource Centers in all regions and Districts
  • Initiating innovative self help projects for the disadvantaged poor families most especially those in care of children.
  • Securing and maintaining equipment materials, training and improving information and communications services such as the Newsletter, fliers etc.
  • Sustaining the Volunteers.

We therefore need your support and every contribution you give makes a difference in the lives of afflicted children and promote an enduring social change and ensure that Children and Families succeed.

Yes you can be you can be part of the solution by helping families overcome their problems via the following ways, either by

Solution 1 - Help a struggling family

  • Be of solace by offering to care for a member of a family
  • Offer a listening ear without judgment. Try by starting a dialogue by asking, "Is there anything I can do to help?"
  • Make referral to members of the family to support centres to access services that are locally available

Solution 2 - Join/Lobby for efficient support services made available to families.

  • If you know of a family living under very difficult conditions, inform a Family Welfare Official. When a report is filed support providers will then be approached to intervene.

Solution 3 - Make a financial Contribution

  • Understand the important role financial contributions play in offering services to struggling families
  • Offer your financial assistance to an Organisation that helps Parents.
  • In your annual budgets, endeavour to budget reasonably for the FAMILY, (the basic societal units) to help those most afflicted at this moment in time.

Solution 4 - Become a Volunteer

  • Support families in crisis by volunteering to pay regular visits, providing respite care and light house work/service
  • Mentor a family
  • Represent abused family members in court by volunteering for the Court Appointed Special Advocates.
  • Accompany family members to court by volunteering with Victim Assistance.
Partnership Support: You may wish to support disadvantaged child(ren) or family with (a one-time grant)

Grantmakers' Support: You may wish to give a grant of an amount that you can afford towards a Family Programme activity in Uganda.

Volunteer Support: (Local and International) You may wish to volunteer with Family Forum Uganda (Please send written replies to Family Forum Uganda)

Gift Shop Support: You may wish to buy (Crafts, Books, Audio/Visual Tape, and Fabric etc.) Visit our online catalogue

Volunteer

FFU welcomes visitors from all over the world. You will receive the warmest welcome the world can offer at Family Forum Uganda. We have regularly hosted a number of visitors particularly to our family sponsorship programs.

Home stays for Volunteers and visitors can at times be arranged to meet their accommodation and living expenses. However, if informed in advance we can always help you find alternative accommodation of your choice.

To volunteer at Family Forum Uganda, you need to apply and get approval from the Director. Volunteering activities include: Research, Capacity Building & Training, teaching at the local schools, in day care centres, helping construct some of homes.
